Service Description

Similar to blood donation, this involves drawing blood to treat conditions caused by too much iron or too many red blood cells, such as: hemochromatosis, polycythemia vera, Porphyria Cutanea Tarda, or from blood building while on TRT, by reducing iron stores or blood volume. Also to manage symptoms like fatigue or organ damage (NAFLD), and improve quality of life by reducing blood thickness or iron overload. Performed under a doctor's order, it removes about a pint of blood at a time, may or may not be followed by saline infusion, to correct imbalances.
