Service Description
Semaglutide is an FDA-approved injectable glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonist that is administered once weekly to help with long-term weight management. It works by effectively reducing appetite, increasing portion control management which include reducing your food cravings, especially sugars. This all helps control blood sugar levels which can help lose body fat and help reduce overall weight and keep it off. The initial visit will be a Q & A about GLP-1s, vitals/ biometric measurements, lab goals (especially for Hemoglobin A1c, fasting glucose and triglycerides) in addition to nutritional counseling. During the fist visit the first subcutaneous injection will be dispensed as well as a self administration demonstration and discussing dosing schedule. This includes 4 weeks of Semaglutide + B12 (5mg/1mg/1ml) weekly SQ injections.
