Service Description

The composition of the foreign body will influence evaluation and removal. Certain foreign bodies may not have to be removed, because removal might cause more trauma than simply leaving them in place. The decision to remove a foreign body is also based on symptoms or risk of complications. If a foreign body is producing pain, it should be removed. Foreign Bodies include: splinters (wood/metal), glass, fish hooks, and other organic/ inorganic materials. Each case is individual so please schedule a consultation first for evaluation.
